Once again they’re choosing Matthews, the world’s leading cremation equipment manufacturers
We couldn’t have been more proud when we heard the news that Horizon Cremation’s Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium, based in the picturesque Scottish countryside, had been named ‘Best Crematorium in Scotland’ at the recent 2019 Scottish Funeral Awards. As the company’s preferred cremation equipment manufacturers, we played a significant role in the success of this outstanding and groundbreaking crematorium and we were absolutely delighted to learn that it beat every other facility in the country to win the coveted accolade. Now as they begin to plan their proposed second state-of-the-art crematorium in Renfrewshire, once again the company is turning to Matthews, their trusted technology provider, to design, engineer, install and maintain the essential cremation equipment.
The new crematorium is to be built next to St. Conval’s Cemetery on Glasgow Road in Barrhead, East Renfrewshire and already discussions have taken place regarding plans for the new cremation technology that will be custom-designed and built to meet the specific requirements of Horizon Cremation and the unique logistics of the new crematorium building itself.
In winning the ‘Best Crematorium’ award that recognises the highest levels of service and care, exceptional building design and the best use of technology alongside excellence in ethics and environmental systems, Horizon Cremation have set significant new benchmarks in crematorium standards.
As their preferred cremation equipment manufacturers, we were closely involved in the exciting concept from the very earliest days of planning and so we were able to incorporate the very latest crematorium design and technology – including today’s most advanced environmental and emissions standards.
Jeremy Hamilton, director of Horizon Cremation, said: “We are incredibly pleased and proud that our Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematorium has been named the best in Scotland. In winning this award we have set a new benchmark in terms of service and support and we will be bringing this award-winning approach to our new crematorium.”
He also went on to say: “It is important to stress that this facility would not exist without the exceptional support of Matthews and in particular the ever-present and very much valued support and guidance received from John Schofield and also the early support, encouragement and guidance from Paul Rahill – both of whom were instrumental in helping to make this facility become a reality.”
“Our Matthews cremator system is simply phenomenal!”
The design of the proposed new crematorium will be based on the success of the Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium. Which means, once again, as the world’s leading cremation equipment manufacturers, we will be closely involved playing an integral and important role in the design and manufacture of the new site’s cremation technology.
