But Matthews advanced incineration technology is fully compliant
The European Union’s economy lost £54.7bn last year due to member states’ failures to implement environmental laws. According to a recent report, air pollution and high noise levels were the biggest failures, generating a loss of over £24bn in 2018. Yet whilst any shortfall in achievement is concerning, at Matthews Environmental Solutions we are delighted to confirm the success of our incineration technology, and in particular our innovative flue gas abatement systems, are setting ever-higher standards of clean air compliance.
Thanks to our many years of international experience together with our dedication to continuous design and development progress, all our waste incineration technology now incorporates the most advanced flue gas abatement systems that are fully compliant with the latest and most stringent EU Industrial Emissions Directive 2010/75/EC.
These flue gas abatement systems are integrated into the final phase section of our waste incineration plant, together with all our pet cremation and human cremation systems. They are designed to ensure that only fully compliant and internationally approved clean air emissions are released into the atmosphere.
Matthews’ advanced clean air technology centres around our two alternative clean emissions concepts. One of these is a specially designed flue gas abatement bag. The other is a ceramic filter house that also incorporates a reagent storage/feed system.
Quite simply, all the gases that are generated by the incineration process are treated either with lime or sodium bicarbonate together with activated carbon. This fully proven and globally approved scientific process effectively neutralises any acid components, whilst the activated carbon absorbs any heavy metals and dioxins that may be present.
Any residual dust and other assorted contaminants are also captured in the abatement plant filters.
The result is that only perfectly clean, environmentally approved exhaust emissions are ever dispensed into the atmosphere.
Using Matthews’ incineration technology to effectively manage their waste disposal processes, means that our customers are totally confident that their waste management system is not only fully EU compliant, but they know that they are not contributing to the appalling and costly environmental failures that were recently reported.
