As the leading international solid waste incinerator specialist we have proudly held BS EN ISO 9001 : 2008 certification for a number of years now and this globally recognised standard confirms to all our worldwide markets that at Todaysure Matthews we have implemented and maintained the strict management systems required in respect of ‘the design, manufacture, procurement, installation, service and repair of incineration and combustion system’.
Now we have decided that it is the right moment to qualify for additional certification and in particular to confirm our already ongoing commitment to all our environmental responsibilities and also to our Health & Safety obligations.
Consequently, we are currently working with one of the UK’s most highly respected ISO accredited consultants in our quest to acquire coveted ISO 14001 : 2015 certification. This is how the consultant describes our challenge and how it will confirm to our UK and international customers our determination to implement all the systems and controls that are required to ensure we consistently perform at the highest possible level.
“ISO 14001:2015 will assist the company towards a better understanding of our environmental context and how our internal and external issues will affect intended outcomes and environmental responsibilities. Successfully implementing this standard will lead us to healthier relationships with interested parties and the communities that we belong to and affect. Our thinking will extend beyond just on-site operations and using this system to help as a guideline, we hope to extend beyond more than having an internationally recognised standard into a system that will help us and our partners improve our sustainability opportunities.”
In addition to this important international ISO certification, as world-leading solid waste incinerator manufacturers, we have also committed ourselves to achieving the BS OHSAS 18001 : 2007 (Occupational Health & Safety Management) best practice certification. In order to achieve this valued approval, we have committed to put in place all the policies, procedures and controls needed for our company to achieve the best possible working conditions and workplace health and safety aligned to internationally recognised best practice.
