And this year our waste management success has been shortlisted in 5 different categories
Two years ago, in 2017, we were honoured and delighted to be awarded ‘Export Business of the Year’ in the Pride of Tameside Business Awards as recognition of our international waste management success. Then, last year, for the second year running, the judges once again awarded us the coveted title of ‘Export Business of the Year’. Surely we couldn’t pull off this incredible run of success for a third consecutive year, could we? Well, it is possible, because last week we were once again overjoyed to be informed by the Pride of Tameside Awards committee that Matthews Environmental Solutions had been shortlisted for the award of ‘Export Business of the Year 2019’. And that’s not all. As well as being up for a hat trick of EBOTY awards we were informed that we have also been shortlisted for FOUR additional awards.
- Apprentice of the Year Award (Tom Bailey)
- Corporate Social Responsibility Award
- Manufacturing & Engineering Business of the Year
- Medium Business of the Year
In every one of the five categories for which we have been shortlisted, we are up against formidable opposition. So although we are hopeful that we can continue our run of success we are not taking anything for granted. Simply being recognised for our achievements throughout the past year by the eminent panel of judges (all of them successful local businessmen and women) is tribute itself to the effort, thought, diligence, skill and hard work that everyone at Matthews Environmental Solutions has put in to ensuring that our business continues to flourish on an international scale. Not forgetting, of course, the enduring loyalty of our existing customers and the confidence that is confirmed of a continuing stream of new customers.
Our reputation for waste management innovation and achievement is now acknowledged not only throughout the UK but also across every continent and countless countries around the world. We have, however, tempered our striving for international growth with a strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility. This reflects itself not only in our personnel culture here in the UK and overseas, but also in our innovative and progressive approach to waste incineration, pet cremation and human cremation technical development.
In turn, this enlightened approach ensures everything we design and engineer is one hundred per cent compliant with the world’s most rigorous Environmental and Health & Safety regulations and standards.
The Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday 24th October at which point all the winners will be announced. We will be attending to support the event and whether we are successful in one, two, more … or none of the categories in which we have been shortlisted we will be delighted that our efforts and achievement around the world are being noted and recognised.
